The Echo of Time is a historical thriller with fantasy elements, blending past, present, and future into a gripping adventure across the centuries.
When Andrea Fabbri, a restorer of Renaissance artifacts, inherits an ancient villa in Florence, he discovers a mysterious medallion with powers that defy the laws of time.
Alongside Laura Corsini—a woman who looks exactly like the noblewoman portrayed in a painting from 1523—Andrea must unravel a mystery that spans five centuries.
Facing time paradoxes, a secret organization determined to claim the medallion, and an imminent solar eclipse that could change the course of history, Andrea will discover that “time isn’t a straight line, but a circle that must be closed.”
The old trunk creaked open, releasing into the air the scent of centuries long past. Andrea Fabbri paused, his hands still resting on the intricately carved lid, a shiver running down his spine. It wasn’t just the dust of five hundred years that made him tremble, but something deeper, as if time itself had held its breath.
Florence, April 2025. Andrea Fabbri, a restorer of Renaissance metal artifacts, unexpectedly inherits a centuries-old villa in the hills of Florence from his grandfather Tommaso, a man he never knew.
Within the ancient walls of the estate, he discovers a finely crafted medallion etched with alchemical and astrological symbols, and a miniature portrait of a woman from 1523: Laura Corsini.
That very same day, he meets a woman identical to the one in the portrait: Laura Corsini, an official from the Cultural Heritage Department.
The coincidence is far too precise to be random.
“What if he was right?” he murmured, more to himself than to her.
“Excuse me?” Laura stared at him, eyes slightly wide.
Andrea pulled the miniature portrait from the trunk and handed it to her.
“Look at this.”
Laura took it in her hands, the color draining from her face.
“That’s… me,” she whispered. “But how is this possible?”
As Andrea struggles to understand the mystery, a series of unsettling events unfolds: the appearance of his own double from an alternate reality, the discovery of his grandfather’s notebooks filled with theories about time, and the emergence of an ancient secret organization called The Guardians of Time, determined to seize the medallion.
“The medallion,” he said finally, “can really create temporal rifts. My grandfather discovered it and dedicated his life to studying it. And I… I met someone who has used it. Someone from an alternate future.”
Laura didn’t seem as surprised as he expected.
“Your friend in the villa. Andre.”
Soon, Andrea realizes that he and Laura are connected across centuries by a complex web of time, involving a Renaissance artisan named Andrea del Fabbro.
With an imminent solar eclipse that could trigger the medallion’s powers, Andrea and Laura find themselves in a race against time to uncover the secrets of the past and “close the circle” before it’s too late.
“Time isn’t a straight line, Andrea. It’s a circle that must be closed.”
